DR. GREGORY BEECHAUM SR
Gregory L. Beechaum, Sr is a husband and father first. But put a Word in his spirit and an expecting congregation before him and you’ll see the Scriptures come alive to encourage and strengthen the body of Christ.
At the age of fourteen, Dr. B gave his life to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and became a believer of the Gospel of Christ and the Cross.
A graduate of Geneva College, Dr. B holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications. While in college, Dr. Beechaum was introduced to kingdom ministry. On WGEV 88.3 FM, he was known across the campus and community as DJ Silky Smooth. During his military service, he yielded to the call of God and walked away from a path of broadcasting and journalism to study the scriptures at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He later received his master’s degree of pastoral counseling and doctorate degrees of christian education and biblical studies at Infinity Bible Seminary.
Dr. Beechaum is the Executive Director of Beyond Walls Ministries. He is also currently serving as the Senior Pastor of Little Zion Baptist Church. His passion for excellence in teaching and preaching has afforded him the opportunity to serve as a biblical professor at Infinity Bible Seminary. Dr. Beechaum is the author of the book, “As For me and my House.” He also facilitates workshops and preaching at conferences such as Baptist General Convention of Virginia, Noble Man Iron Sharpens Iron, Point Man Iron Sharpens Iron, Gathering Men Iron Sharpens Iron and so many more church services and community events.
He is also currently serving on the Board of Directors of Infinity Bible Seminary, the Board of Directors of Noble Warriors, the Executive Board of Responsible Fathers and Family, Inc., as well as the Administrator of the Little Zion Workshop Way Preschool, the Vice President of the Clergy Ministry of the Baptist General Convention of Virginia, and the Past Moderator of the James River Baptist District Association.
Dr. Beechaum has received many honors over the years. He was honored by the Geneva College Alumni Association by receiving the Geneva College Distinguished Service Award for Alumni that exhibits the character and integrity of Christian values within his profession, community and church. He also received an honorary doctorate degree from Infinity Bible Seminary.
Dr. Beechaum married, his friend and his love, Toni. Dr. B and Lady Toni has been married for nearly 25 years. God has entrusted them with three children. The oldest son, Gregory Jr. is a senior at Geneva College, Jayla is a senior in high school, and Janay is now in the freshman in high school.
